Green Mambas are generally shyer as compared to black Mamba. Green Mambas usually never come in the way of human and if they see any bigger opponent in front of them, they quickly change their course.

They only attack when they are being charged upon by someone. Black Mambas on the other hand are more aggressive family background. But both snakes have more less same type of venom and lethalness, black mambas have slight more.

Diet for both green mamba and green mamba is more or less same as they mostly eat eggs, mice, rodents, lizards etc. They repeatedly strike the target with venom, until it dies. They usually prefer to eat a pray having size greater than their body.

Reproduction in both types of snakes is more or less same. In both cases it has been seen that, there is fight between the male partners over the ownership of female. This fight could last for hours. After that, male and female mate with each other. While in Black Mambas, females lay eggs in termite moulds, in green mambas they mostly use trunk of a whole tree, especially with decaying vegetation. Offspring of both type of snakes are equally lethal.

So, there are minor differences among these two, but stories and fear that is attached with them is surely something that makes them famous. Since Black Mamba is found over large geographical location, bites caused by them are more as compared to other species of this genus.

Black Mambas are larger in size and spit more volume of venom in one bite as compared to its counterparts.  I guess, Black Mamba is more deadly in comparison to Green Mamba.
