Retarded, maltese and blind tiger facts

Know about retarded, maltese and blind tiger facts. The largest cat in this world is none other than Panthera tigris or Tiger. It belongs to Felidea family and carnivore order. At present there are only six species of tigers and all of them are declared as endangered species by International Union for Conservation of Nature. Amongst these six there are 10 subspecies of tigers. Leopards, Lions and Jaguars are the closest relatives of tigers. The fossils of tigers are found in Indonesia, Philippines and Asia but by 20th century tigers become extinct in Western Asia only.

The average body length of this big cat is around 11.1 ft (3.38 m) and it weighs around 857 lb (388.7 kg). Just like the human beings some tigers are found retarded, maltese or blind.

Already the number of tigers is reducing day by day and the life expectancy of these retarded, maltese and blind are less comparative to the normal tigers. Less life expectancy of these kinds of abnormal tigers is one of the reasons in making the tigers an endangered species.

There are many preventive measures and many activities are taken place to preserve tigers for our future generation. Some breeders have tried to breed tigers and a tiger named Kenny is one example. An experiment was done to produce white tigers for future generation through breeding but the experiment was not successful.

Appearance wise the tiger Kenny is quite similar to the actual white tigers. But when it comes to other factors this inbreeded tiger has lots of health issues. Kenny is a mentally retarded tiger with some few more health issues. Kenny is considered as the first tiger to have down syndrome and it also have some physical limitations.

Not only Kenny but all other inbreeded tigers have some problem or the other. The experiment that was made for the welfare of tigers and was estimated to be a successful one is proved as a flop and unsuccessful one. Though it has helped in increasing the number of tigers in world but all the tigers born with this experiment are detected with some problem or the other.

From many decades it is been proven that anything that is artificial can’t takes the place of any natural thing. The same happened with the inbreeded tigers, the experiment done with them goes exactly wrong. All the tigers those are inbreeded by any process or the other are found abnormal and are born with lots of complexities. A task done for welfare proved as a wrong step taken by the researchers.

Apart from Kenny there is another mentally retarded tiger named Willie who has gained lots of popularity all over the world. This tiger is also an inbreeded tiger like Kenny and like all other inbreeded tigers the experiment made with Willie is also not successful and that results into Willie’s abnormal growth. These two are the best example for unsuccessful experiments made on animals and especially tigers.

Despite of doing useless experiments with tigers or other endangered species of animal we should try to preserve all the endangered species for our upcoming generation. Many wildlife conservation organizations are working to preserve endangered species of animals. Here I have got a list of top best animal conservation organizations in world, so have a look:

  • The Nature Conservancy
  • World Wildlife Fund
  • Natural Resources Defense Council
  • The Sierra Club
  • International Crane Foundation
  • Friends of Haleakala National Park
  • Royal Society for the Protection of Birds
  • Oceana
  • Conservation International
  • Wildlife Conservation Society

All these ten conservation organizations have made a huge contribution in prevention of many endangered species of animal all over the world. It’s not necessary to become a part of these kinds of associations but we can make our contribution by our own for this good cause.

I hope all of you reading this post out there will make your contribution to preserve all the endangered species of animals.  This is our duty to make sure that all the wild animals that come under the endangered list should be preserved for our next generation and their next generations.

So, guys let’s take an oath that we will try our best to make a contribution in the conservation of wildlife. Wildlife plays an important role in our life. Every natural thing and every creature has some role or the other in our life.  Wildlife is also important in the development of a particular country. Wildlife attracts lots of tourists all over the world and from those tourists not only local people but the country earns a huge benefit.

In India only there are 53 tiger reserves which help in protecting tigers all over India. Project Tiger is the biggest project yet that has helped in preserving a huge number of Tigers in India.
I just hope that you guys will follow my words and will do something for all the endangered species of animals. Tiger have many subspecies and all of them are endangered species. Let’s check out the subspecies of tigers:

Bengal Tiger
Indochinese tiger
Malayan tiger
Siberian tiger
South China tiger
Sumatran tiger

The tiger subspecies still exists but apart from these 6 species there are few those are the extinct subspecies of tigers. And here the list of those tigers:

Bali tiger
Caspian tiger
Javan tiger

We have to safe the remaining 6 subspecies of tigers at any cost because all these 6 species are endangered. Despite of so many projects and reserves for tigers in world the number of tigers is still reducing.

In a recent report it is found that the projects for tigers are working positively and gain in the number of tigers is found. It is a great story for us and we have to maintain it. I have made my contribution and still doing it now it’s your turn to do it. Retarded, maltese and blind tiger facts are given above. Hurry up guys do your part of work to save tigers.
