When
we talk about reptiles some names like snake and crocodiles are the common
names. We all reading about crocodiles from the beginning of our school life
but still there are some facts with which we are not aware of. Well, to provide
you all the hidden facts regarding crocodile here I am with this post which is
all about this aquatic reptile. These aquatic reptiles are the habitat of Asia,
America, Africa and Australia. The subfamilies of crocodiles are called
Crocodylinae. It belongs to Reptilia class, Crocodilia order.
Crocodiles are one of the endangered reptiles and are protected in many parts of this world. Many NGO’s are working for preserving all the present species of crocodiles and many countries are co operating with the NGO’s. Whereas in many parts of the world such as Cuba, China, South Africa, Thailand, Ethiopia and Australia crocodiles are consumed by humans. Those who have tasted crocodile’s meat describe its taste as delicate one. Some haven’t found any difference in between the taste of chicken and crab.

looks every crocodiles look similar.
When
it comes to the size of the crocodiles it depends on the species but in common
it grows between 4.9 - 6.2 feet. From a survey it is found that a crocodile can
grow over 23 feet. Isn’t it shocking? God knows, which lucky person have seen
this much (23 feet) long crocodile? Now, let’s gain some knowledge on some
characteristics of crocodile.
Crocodiles
usually spend aquatic life, as they have streamlined body that helps them in
swimming. Their feet are totally different from other animals, they are in a
form that helps Crocodile in sudden moves and fast turns inside the water. If
you see the skeleton of a Crocodile, you will notice that the brain case are
bony but it lacks postfrontal and supratemporal bones.
Crocodile’s
evolutionary advantage and acute sense makes them unbeaten predators. Nostrils,
eyes and ears of Crocodiles help them in hiding inside the water during
hunting. Though, crocodiles have good night vision so they prefer hunting ay
night. As we are talking about hunting, most of the species of this reptile is
very dangerous for humans. In encounter with humans they attack before the
person can react.
