Sphenisciformes by order and Spheniscidae by family Penguins are popularly known aquatic birds. These aquatic birds are mostly found in southern hemisphere especially in Antartica. Penguins are called aquatic birds because they spend half of their life inside the ocean and the rest half in the land. Yellow eyed penguin is only found in south-eastern coast of New Zealand.

It is found that male partner Emperor penguins look after their egg for two months without eating anything. At that time he loses half of his body weight whereas the female stays in the sea.

A penguin have live span of around 15-20 years and during its live span Penguin spend 75% of time in the sea.

Penguin has many predators like foxes, sea lions, leopard seals, skuas, orcas, snakes and sharks. But it also depends upon the habitat of the penguin.
